Announcing Twilight Camp 2005
This year’s theme is Cub Scout Island. It promises to be a great adventure for cub scouts of Arrowhead district. Never heard of twilight camp? Well, it is a great experience for cub scouts. Twilight Camp is a day camp held from 4:30pm - 8:30pm. The scouts get to participate in archery, BB’s, crafts, games, woodworking, science experiments, scouting skills, friendship building and most importantly FUN! This is also a great opportunity for boys to participate in activities that count towards the requirements for their next rank.
Twilight camp is for cub scouts entering the second grade through entering the fifth grade. If your scout is currently a Tiger scout or Wolf scout he would attend Cub Week June 20th – 24th. If your scout is a current Bear scout or WEBELOS I, he would attend WEBELOS Week June 13th – 17th. WEBELOS may participate in an overnighter on June 17th and participate in archery and BB’s and some other fun activities on Saturday morning, June 18th. Twilight Camp is held at Collin County Youth Park, just a few minutes north of McKinney.
Parents do not need to attend for the boys to participate HOWEVER each pack is responsible for having walking den leaders present at camp at all times to help the boys at their stations and traveling to their stations. Each pack is required to have 1 walking den leader for each 5 boys (2 deep leadership is required at all times, this is a 2/10 ratio).
